Boss characters are characters who lead or hold a leadership role in a 'real' faction. They are usually differentiated by higher quality armor, weapons, and stats, and some will carry Meitou weapons.

Killing or capturing a Boss character will change the world's story, and thus change the world states. All of the boss characters listed in this category will influence world states.

Most Boss characters are also Unique, though this is not strictly true. Lord Mirage, and a handful of others are not marked as unique - potentially by mistake.

Subcategories:

The Holy Nation: Inquisitors

Contains all articles relating to the Inquisitors of the Holy Nation.

The Empire: Nobles

Contains all articles relating to the Nobles of the United Cities and the Traders Guild.

Also includes Lord Mirage, though his actual status as a noble is questionable at best - as he uses the title, he is included regardless.

Superbosses

'Superbosses' are a sub-category of bosses specifically referring to the most dangerous characters in Kenshi. They usually have some minor worldstates attached to them as well as a bounty, though this is not universal, and most or all of their combat stats are above 80 or 90.
