Maintenance Log
- 4-28 notes
- Slightly busy schedule outside the wikiwork.
- Planning to integrate the following templates...
- Otherwise spending time with the Citizen skin and exploring what it can offer.
- Also, fixed some issue with a missing try_files from one of the more aggressive caching blocks.
- Slight adjustments to gzip behavior.
- Looking into more responsive job queue handling.
- May experiment with igbinary and Brotli. Many nginx modules are out of scope - rate limiter has a use case though.
- Looking to add https://github.com/SemanticMediaWiki/SemanticExtraSpecialProperties
- In the process of overhauling various templates to align with the Citizen family of wiki
- 4-29 notes
- Learned...so, so very much about the job queue this evening.
- Created a 3-month plan to continue this project and really bring it together.
- 4-30 notes
- Unlocked the mystery of incorrect Module & Template documentation. Cleared numerous semantic errors in doing so.
- Imported and added the first of the frontpage templates via Template:Main page/navigation
- Rolled out a conditional job runner for large backlog periods. Conditionally activated and gated from over-response.
- Constructing an import list for the Fandom wiki.
- Incredibly helpful! https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:Pages_with_syntax_highlighting_errors

- 5-1 to 5-3
- Setting in motion the next phase of the wiki, map and file storage. As you may be noticing there isn't much to note in terms of maintenance essentially due to all the previous automation and lockdown of the configuration. Testing and exposure to the various server-sided processes resulted in a fairly stable environment to work with. Complex? No. Accessible and effortless to return to. That's the idea!
- Now the process is turning towards importation of the Fandom wiki's content, adaptation of the style and thorough exploration of the Citizen skin's visual elements. This process will dominate the month of May until the content effectively emulates and "replaces" the Fandom site's offerings. Stay tuned.
